Building Capacity through Collaboration

Join us for a conversation of “hot topics” and key issues facing Arkansas’ nonprofit sector.  This session will begin with an overview of the collaborative work already in progress between Arkansas Coalition for Excellence, the Arkansas DHS Division of Community Service and Nonprofit Support and a consortium of Arkansas funders.  Facilitated by Chris Love, Arkansas Community Foundation and Regan Gruber Moffitt, Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, this discussion will be a thought provoking and engaging dialogue among a panel of funders and nonprofits along with welcomed participation from the audience.  The panel includes: Chris Love, Arkansas Community Foundation; Regan Gruber Moffit, Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation; Georgia Mjartan, Our House; Sanford Tollette, Joseph Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp; and Shawn D. Strouss, LifeHouse Ministries.   The results of a 2012 Nonprofit Capacity Needs Survey will also be discussed.

With over 9,000 charitable nonprofits in Arkansas, we must learn to work together to provide better services for our constituents and not duplicate efforts.  In this session, hear stories of effective collaboration and learn tools that can help you and your organization succeed.  Led by: Jeff Spry, City Connections with special guests: Louise Allison, the P.A.T.H.; Paul Henry, Y.M.C.A.; Leifel Jackson, R.O.C.A.N.; and Dr. Barry Sorrells, Shepherd’s Hope Clinic
